The Hampton Park Baptist Church youth ministry exists to ignite our teens, soul and body, to become obsessed with the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
We believe that parents are the ones clearly commanded by Scripture to be the primary influence in the spiritual lives of young adults. Ephesians 6:4 states that fathers are to “bring them (children) up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” Therefore, one of our main goals is to equip the parents of HPBC to effectively disciple and train their children.
As we minister directly to the teens it is our desire to glorify God in the church by providing purposeful, Christ-centered instruction during these influential years of a teen’s life. In keeping with our church’s goal of “life by the Book,” we labor to evangelize and disciple young adults through intentional instruction and prayer. We seek to rear believing young adults by making sure they know God through the gospel of Jesus Christ, and we cultivate a learning atmosphere by teaching expositionally the Scriptures and teaching clearly how the gospel affects every area of life. The goal of our ministry is to develop God-loving and people-loving young adults whose lives have been transformed by the gospel and whose lives are growing in gospel-centered thinking and living. We are dedicated to worship as the central role in a teen’s life, because all that we do should center on Jesus Christ and His glory. The church’s discipleship of young adults should result in lives that are vitally involved in their local church and involved in spreading the gospel to their community (witnessing).
