Joel Gearhart
Pastor for Missions and Outreach
Joel grew up in Michigan in a pastor's home. Through his parents’ teaching and example, he came to trust Christ at a young age. During his teen years his desire for ministry began to grow. After graduating from Christian high school, he attended Bible college to train for ministry. Upon completion of his degree he worked in the college's athletic department for 3 years. He served as an assistant pastor for youth at a church in Metro Detroit for eight years prior to coming to Hampton Park. He and his wife Dawn have three sons, Camden, Josiah and Trevor. Joel came to Hampton Park in the fall of 2013 and joyfully served as Pastor for Student Ministries until 2022. At that time, he became the Pastor for Missions and Outreach and greatly enjoys serving our gospel partners at home and abroad.
