Tim & Marge Garren

Tim and Marge are member missionaries sent out from Hampton Park. They serve along Nova Scotia's South Shore, currently in the town of Lockeport on the Atlantic Coast. Tim grew up in Greenville and graduated from Hampton Park Christian School and from Bob Jones University's School of Applied Studies. His involvement in high school and college summer mission teams introduced him to the needs in Nova Scotia, and after raising support, he returned for his first term in 1987.
Marge grew up in Washington Court House, Ohio, and graduated from BJU in 1987. She and Tim met in 1990 in one of Tim's supporting churches, and they were married in 1995. As a family, God has given the Garrens amazing opportunities in their small community and local public schools to volunteer and to share Christ through testimony and witness.
Over the years Tim has served as an assistant pastor, youth pastor, camp program director, boys home counselor, senior pastor, and church planter. Since 1997, he has pastored Lockeport Independent Baptist Church. This is where the Garrens are re-focusing their efforts after 11 years of dividing their energies between ministries in Lockeport and in Liverpool. The church plant in Liverpool, South Shore Baptist Church recently purchased their own church building and also voted on their first full-time pastor, so the Garrens are transitioning out of that ministry, and praise God for raising up a local body of believers in the thriving town of Liverpool.
The Garrens have three daughters: Abigail, Esther, and Grace.
