Dan & Lyn Sehested
Romania
Dan and Lyn Sehested began serving the Lord in Romania in 1993. The first 8 1/2 years they were located in Slatina, in the south central region of the country. Together, with coworkers, they started a church. In 2002, they moved to Lugoj, in the southwestern region, to help in a college. While in the process of moving, they met Alin Manciu who was planting a church in the village of Stiuca, just outside of Lugoj. They worked with the Mancius for the next six years in the establishment of Hope Independent Baptist Church. In 2007, the Lord clearly led the Sehesteds to move again. This time, they moved to Beius, in the northwest region of Romania. They were both involved in the Independent Baptist Assembly of Beius and both were teaching in a Bible college. In the fall of 2009, the Sehested family moved to Hunedoara to help Mihai and Maria Czentye plant a new independent Baptist church. Currently, the Sehesteds are planning to establish themselves in Hunedoara for the rest of their lives, reaching out to a county of 420,000 lost souls.
The Sehesteds have two children: Briana and Sam.
